26th January 1944 B26 41-31623 Y:AT Hells Bells

Today, a memorial was unveiled in Crowborough to the crew of B26 Marauder 41-31623 Y:AT Hells Bells on the 75th Anniversary of the crash that took the lives of all on board.


The memorial and event was organised by the Crowborough Branch of the Royal British Legion. Details of the flight, mission, crash and todays event can be found on their facebook site

A wreath was laid by Lt Col James Gingras (Assistant US Airforce Attaché) as the representative of the US Embassy.

seconded - having been involved with the Memorial to the 2 crews of the B-26's that collided over the outskirts of Battle early on D Day.
