Hoodie thanks - looks like the year in question. Unbelievable how many aircraft appeared at the show. It must be the year because as mentioned in your link it lists the Italian G222 which crashed when the nosewheel collapsed after a heavy nosewheel first landing and closed Fairford's runway for a while until it was dragged clear - I remember it well!

Pathfinders Hq moves to Fairford from Alc

End of last year, the 501st Hq has moved from my neck of the woods Alconvury to the Cotswolds

Glad I sold my “Buy to Rent” near Alconbury decades ago. Used by Base Housing, and well looked after. I wonder how many are still relying on that market these days?

Does this mean increased traffic at Fairford leading to an expansion of controlled airspace south of Brize?

Lakenheath have always been very friendly and helpful when I've flown through their combined MATZ (not that they have much choice) so I'd have hoped Fairford would be happy with the same arrangement. Any expansion of the Brize zone South/West is going to create another nasty bottleneck.

No. The 501st is a firmly ground based regional administrative support headquarters, so no effect on airfield activity, flying or airspace at all.
