Looking at the photo in the first post it appears that the two aircraft with the incorrect smoke are emitting something of a purple colour. Cocktails?

In the big scheme of things, they're only French, so it's not important.
What a thoroughly nasty thing to say. I do hope that you'll have the opportunity to explain that comment one day to 'les képis blancs' ….

Any comments on close formation flying in such low light conditions?
As compared to say.....Night Time?

Well Trump did say they had lost touch with their culture, so maybe they forgot what colour the flag was ?

On the teams Facebook page they aplogise for tainting the national flag and shouldn't have made the mistake. Like all people, despite the work they put in, they can sometimes make an error.
