I've read that the President continued playing golf, not to be bothered.
They say he spends much of his time there.

MPN11, indeed, the aircraft were usually plugged in to the same line. Of course had the telescramble failed your ATCO would have caused an abort. I recall one practise scramble where #1 came oiff the blocks and then suddenly stopped. I think the Captain had reacted instinctively (as practices were not always authenticated) and suddey realise the order had not been authenticated.

The BBC had some snivelling coward on tv yesterday, saying all the really "right on" s==t and moving the conversation onto blaming trump for "inflaming" the situation with NK.

I'm sure these reactions will have been carefully monitored above the 38th parallel.

My niece and her boyfriend were trapped in a Hawaiian supermarket when it all kicked off, social media went wild and no-one had a clue what was happening so the staff locked the doors!

I don't know if this means she is now pregnant though

The Hawaii alert system unfortunately produced a false positive. At least they have a system for the civilian population. Did we replace the WB1400 network or would we now rely on a text from Floodline?

"One....it was a Democrat that pushed the Button.

Two...nothing at all happens to that individual."

Seriously?

According to at least one press report the "Test Alert" and "Send Alert" options were on the SAME dropdown menu. "Test Alert" is apparently part of the standard shift-change procedure, the other has the results we witnessed.

There is a confirmation dialogue, so two actions are required before that actual alert went out - but who among us has not clicked on a confirmation dialogue without actually reading it? I know I have.

If this is the true story, I blame the operator less than the awful interface design. An action done routinely should not be on the same menu of options with one you hope never to have to use.

Twb 3

Shuffle the menu?

My investment platform used to require 3 numbers of 6 using a random 10 digit keyboard display. Forced you to read the screen.

If they have been trained to expect it, in what way would it be a surprise?

He was right....the guy was transferred and not binned!

You do realize the political make-up of the State Government in Hawaii?

I have a much better chance of being right than you imagine.
