Both are headline grabbers but one matters a shedload more than the other - this organisation has greater problems than who to canonise.

Silly for the reason I stated. The Roman Catholic Church is a massive organisation. Do you really think that diverting the small number of clergy involved in the process of canonisation to investigating paedophiles would make any meaningful difference to the outcome?
