Another shared programme where, no doubt, the French only want the lead on the engine.

Oh! And on the airframe, and the avionics, and perhaps, software, etc, etc.

Don't worry about it, alphabet soup and partners will change for the next 20 years.

If i recall correctly the French started off in the Tornado and the Typhoon programs only to go their own way with Mirage 2000 and Rafale. So if past performance is anything to go by...
