Merry Christmas those on Ops
5 years since I left. 5 years I have had every Christmas at home with family.
To those away from home - hope you stay safe and return soon.
God speed.

If I may add my wishes to those deployed during this season...best to you all.
To those at home have well deserved rest and relaxation, to those on duty or active operations, stay safe and come home soon.

Bless them all ... deployed or not, but working anyway.
And indeed all of you who have left, but remember working over Christmas.
I recall with pleasure OC Ops and I guarding the SSA at Waddo to allow the guys to have their Christmas Dinner.

To them who are
'Christmas comes but once a Firkin
but when it comes
we're Firkin Wirkin'
In the Military, it was always so.
To them who are,
Thank You

To all those in far-away places, on Ops at home and abroad and those of you on standby/stand to for buses and other things ... I wish you and your families a merry Christmas whenever you can take it. Stay safe.

Totally agree with all said above - and my thanks to all the married accompanied who took me and other singlies in on Christmas Day when we were working the Christmas shifts in NI and unable to get home to our own families all those years ago. Stay safe everyone, wherever you all are over the festive season. Kbc

Wonder how many of their Senior Officers rang in or even heaven forbid personally checked that they were ok?
We were rang up from the 2nd Sea Lord on Xmas Eve all the way from his home to the FI- the QM took the call and was mighty surprised, pretty pleasantly.
Alas Yeovil Air Command didn't seem to give a fig about their own troops over Xmas in some of the years I served at the base. We could have easily locked up and thinned out-no one would have cared either way how we got on for 2 weeks
I always appreciated a look in by the boss of local bosses but its a damn rare event.
