"...I suppose it is indirectly funded by the taxpayers.????!" Er, no, I think you'll find its exactly the other way round. "Taxpayers money" is generated by business and enterprise. Without it, no nurse, teacher or fighter-pilot in the country will receive any salary.

Are you guys serious about WAGs going out ? For a three week gig? Hell of a different RAF to the one I was in (yeah, I know, long time ago etc etc) but ...............

They are away for 2 months flying the flag and not in a war zone. They have a few days break in the middle. If WAGs want to pay for flights to join them for a few days of exotic leisure, good for them. Why is that different from your day?
