Didn't the CEO of Airbus do a daylight sport-parachute jump off the back ramp, and proclaim it an "ideal aircraft for paratroopers" a few years ago

It could be like the aussie subs when the new design wasn't tank tested. Wouldn't this have come up in an A400 wind tunnel test?

French-US military relations are closer than ever, first the UAV Reapers and Hellfire missiles for Eurocopter Tigers and now C-130's so whats next?
Arleigh Burke class destroyers ? would not be a bad idea if you ask me..

DeGaulle already turned when Sarkozy reintegrated into the NATO military command structure. France was finally in but in (rather than in but out) after fifty years of Gaulist sulking.

Glad to see our nations are getting along better.

FAF has operated C-130H's for years. Makes sense with a few more not withstanding J type.
