HS125 Disbandment Party

It's not been cancelled for political reasons yet...

If you have flown or worked with the HS125 over the years then hopefully you will know that the disbandment party is at RAF Northolt this Saturday 28th March. If not, please get in touch with Jane Bowden at 32(TR) Sqn ASAP to see if she can find you a space; there are around 260 attending already!

On another note......a sad end to a recently upgraded, very busy jet with many years left on it.

I understand 3 of the aircraft have been ferried to Dunsfold to be scrapped.
Were the so different from civil versions they couldn't be sold, or is it simply because of noise regulations?

Wouldn't be noise Chevv - they have the same Garrett TFE-731 turbofans as the civil '700's of that era - and there are plenty of them still in use.

I recall a thread some time ago listing a whole heap of equipment that was to be removed from the airframes before sale which "would make future use as flying aircraft unlikely"

Sad to see them off to the breakers though.
