Typhoons over Grand Canyon
Some great imagery of 1(F) en-route to Red Flag. Good luck on the Ex.

Al,
Yeah, slightly less roomy than the might Fin, but the seat is much more comfortable and less lower lumbar crunching!
And it's far easier to tank in, what with all the SEP and the FCS, so that makes any trail less fraught (caveat: you can f&&& it up all the same however).
Cheers

Great pictures. Thanks for posting.
Yes, the seat is as comfortable as an ejection seat can be - a bit hard by necessity.
Good to see some positive News about the RAF.
Here's to the folk doing the job.

Would the aircraft do the entire transit from Lossie to Nellis non stop? It must be the best part of 12 hours with the Pilots in one position, DVT, Liquids, food and all that!
TIA

It's sort of hidden in the story. It was done over 4 legs
1 Lossiemouth to Lajes
2 Lajes to Bermuda
3 Bermuda to Eglin
4 Eglin to Nellis
I am a bit surprised at the 13 refuellings though (unless you count the ones on the ground!)
