Stumbled across this - hope the link works.

I am not certain I agree with the results - but it makes for an interesting few minutes viewing.

Clearly the RAFBF web security is not nearly as good as they think it is.
I confidently expect you to appear at the top of the 'Most Iconic RAF figure post-WW2' poll Leon, when it's held

p.s. slip me some of those bitcoins you've recently 'acquired', and I'll keep schtum.

Seems like Nutloose has fallen for our best tactic - he'll have a skyflash up his arse before the tears have dried!

The best fighter in the World is whichever one is being flown by the best fighter pilot in the World; which as any fighter pilot knows is, on his day, himself.

Doesn't matter if you're the best fighter pilot in the world, if Joe Average squadron pilot has the better hardware your ass is going to be whupped. Even though as a normal fighter jock you think you are invincible, your destiny will be a smokin' hole. If you're lucky you might get the chance to bang out if the expanding rod or 30 mil cannon shell in the cockpit doesn't turn your soft and fragile body into spag bol.

Just saying.

Bollox! I've defeated more advanced radars, missile systems and super-duper aerodynamics than I could count and certainly came out on top after a career flying, for the majority, a 25 ft span, high loading wing with a poxy monopulse radar. Guile, cunning, experience and initiative will overcome Joe Average, even if he has got every toy in the box.

Pontius. Once perhaps. Not so much nowadays.
Of course having all those tricks doesn't make him a good fighter pilot. Just a good operator in a top notch machine.
The best pistol marksman in the world wouldn't win a fight with a bazooka wielding dude at 300 yards. However if you level the playing field then you may find out who is the best.
In recent history in the RAF that level playing field was the good old Hawk T1. The surest way to find out who actually was as good as they said they were and who was full of p1ss and wind was to go off and play for a couple of trips.

Picture yourself as the General commanding a US air force, flying the latest American wonder jet.
Picture trying to explain to your formation why you've just been shot by some Brit first tourists flying the heap of junk Nutty is still laughing about. Twice.

I can't tell you what the explanation was. They asked us to leave the debriefing room. I'm guessing there were some rude words.
Said General had been singing the praises of his then brand-new F-16C. He'd also apparently told the F-15 boys they could take their dinosaur home as it was only fit for the National Guard.
Said F-15 boys bought us drinks all evening and gave me a back seat ride next day.

RED FLAG '94 - 'Red Air cleared off' by Brigadier who went on to b0ll0ck the Blue Air F15 sweep for letting the Red Air F3s into the main package on the final mission. F3s go 'winchester' on B1s, F16s and F4 Wild Weasel packages. Brigadier most unhappy...

COPE THUNDER '97 - F15 sweep accuse F3s of 'cheating' for sitting 'strip alert' by watching JTIDS link 16 and waiting for tye right opportunity to launch against the sweep. Most F3s on that ex achieve between 3:1 to 10:1 kill ratios.

This was pre-ASRAAM and AMRAAM embodiment. Which, when combined with JTIDS, proved that you really could polish a turd!

Time to dry your eyes now, Nutty...
