Wassat Competition

I thought there might be an appetite for a little Quick Fire revolving competition to amuse members

So here's the idea ...

(1) An obscure picture is posted which MUST include a cryptic clue.

(2) The more obscure the picture the more helpful the cryptic clue might need to be ... perhaps.

(3) The aim is to turnover the competition every three or four days.

(4) Images are restricted to any Mil Aviation Equipment (Air or Ground) that is directly connected with the flying of a Mil Aircraft and should be familiar to both Air and Ground crews alike.

(5) Members suffering from OCD or Anorak Syndrome should refrain from asking for esoteric information to qualify a winner ... e.g. Stores Ref, Mk etc. ...

(6) The winner then posts the next image and cryptic clue or calls "Open House" for someone else to post.

(7) Take care with image URL's so as not to giving the game away.
If my proposal Bombs ... it Bombs.

To get us started here's an easy one to have a go at

My namesake. The Canadian potato Friar (sounds like)

Best ...

Coff.

Ok, that's two of you have solved it now!

Neither has explicitly stated what it is, so it's still open.

I thought my clue was obvious, sorry Nutty. Maybe Buster will be along in a second to steal the glory

Halo gearbox, take it the inputs shown are for the engines.. I wonder if it would fly with just 4 blades fitted the Ch 53 can with 3

Buster went mad so we've had him put down
