Beach Invasion in Russia.

Showing the public how their roubles are spent.

The word going around is that they hit the wrong beach.

Before you young gentlemen get carried away. ISTR a certain Nav Station commander putting his Albert down at the wrong airport in Turkey, some years ago. Lets try to restrain the urine extraction, its hardly a first, and I'm damn sure wont be the last.

Crikey, thats one big beastie. Wouldn't fancy that bearing down on me when I was catching some rays in me speedos, 99 in hand.

The crew presumably are now enjoying a well-earned bit of R+R at a salt mine in Siberia.

Trashengurt,

I honestly don't know, my point being anyone can "cock up", everything I have ever read about Russian (dare I suggest soviet) style military operations suggests a total determination to follow orders. If the orders are wrong ? Looks like no casualties were experienced in either case thankfully. That's one big hover jobby.

Much more likely the public had invaded a nice beach the military don't usually use on a Sunday. I don't see clouds of sand and all the debris you'd get if you ran that ashore on a crowded beach. I bet there's a nice landing ramp out of sight of the camera that they nosed onto.

Quite a toy, and to think we invented them and pretty much gave them up.

It's maybe the Russian version of "Top Gear" with an experimental Hovervan?
