Canberra PR9 WH134 Airborne

Apologies if already informed, but alternative forums are advising that Canberra PR9 WH134 has successfully flown today and has aspirations for a weekend at RIAT.
Absolutely fantastic achievement if correct, and one aircraft that I would willingly go to see fly again.

Aha, a real aircraft turns up for RIAT. I'm sure it will be a great success. Is it in the flying display, or only a static exhibit ? I hope any "attendees" can keep us updated on this. Grand news.

I would suggest that it is 'static' only. Not done enough flying to earn it's display authorisation yet.

Lovely photos, thanks for sharing.
BTW on the Canberra front the Wyton Gate Guard has just undergone a long overdue repaint. Rather nice it looks as well.

Canberra 40th?

Somewhere I've got some pics of an air to air photo-shoot that we did in May '89. Herc vs Canberra in Royal blue paint-job, out of Northolt, must have been for the 40th.
Will scan and post in a few years time when I find them!

What happened to Rick P,also known as Biggles,of Bucc fame?He saw his time out as Cranberry Boss,as far as my grapevine goes, until they were retired.Surely he must be still flying??He also flew the last Bucc flight, did he not??A very spendid bloke, trained in the noble art of elbow bending on the Ark!!(The proper one)
