But the largest and fastests?
Methinks he means the B747 and the Lightning.

Blimey, given most of the above one is not worthy.. but anyway...

As P1, in date order:

Ka7
Chipmunk
Bulldog
JP5a
Hawk
F-4M
JP3 ( Think that's downshifting?..Then pity the poor soul I "taught" at a secret Lincolnshire airbase who's previous type was the F-15)

and then:

B747 (100/200, 400)
B777

Guest appearance but with some limited stick time on:
Nimrod
Gazelle ( which was surprisingly pleasant)

and...

CF-104, only once, but......

Chipmunk, Hiller 12, Bell 47(Sioux) for the Queen and two simulator trips in the Jaguar at Coltishall for myself. Oh, and I soloed on a glider at Netheravon in a quiet week just before I retired!
I now take great pleasure and pride in watching my son doing in his pointy thing what I wish I could have done.

Does it really matter how many aircraft we have flown? Every month I meet with a number (sadly reducing!) of guys who, on average, probably only flew four or five types total! However, it was what they did with those aircraft that mattered!! To get them talking about WW2 and Korea takes some doing but is absolutely fascinating. REMEMBER THEM!

Betty,

You and I both know that your time in the MRA4 cockpit, or any other aircraft type for that matter, cannot be described as flying..........

How's the new toy?
