map of every current RAF station in UK

Can anyone here point me in the right direction of finding a map of the UK with every current RAF station please? Im looking at doing a charity event that involves visiting every one. A big task i know. But it'll be worth it if my plan come to fruition.

Cheers

Wait a few more years and you'll be able to achieve that by standing on the spot.

Have a look here: RAF - Stations

The list of RAF stations is way out of date. The bombing ranges transferred to DTE 6 years ago and RAF Wainfleet closed 3 years ago.

Do you intend to include the USAFE bases; Bentwaters, Croughton, Upper Heyford etc. They are all designated as RAF Stations and most have RAF Stn Cdrs, albeit at Flt Lt rank?

The intention would be to cover all RAF bases in the UK. So that would include all USAFE bases too.

A greater challenge would be to visit RAF Careers Information Offices during opening hours, Shirley?

This could be a massive task. In theory, the likes of Feltwell, Molesworth, Upwood and Menwith Hill are RAF stations, (USAFE), but you're unlikely to get much of a reception there. And none at all at Bentwaters or Upper Heyford.

Same could be said of the likes of Little Rissington, Mona, even Keevil. Still an RAF airfield, but no peeps.

Then there's the places where there are RAF staff (lots of them, in some cases), but not an RAF site.

The general idea is to go to every Major Raf station within the uk. Those of us trying to sort out this charity event are well aware if thus massive task. And calculating a route so far to the main raf camps and any that i know for sure are still in existence came to about 2500 odd miles. And a non stop travelling time of 57 hours or so.

List of Royal Air Force stations - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Better still: RAF - Stations

Pr00ne - I suspect 21 Sigs claims Colerne these days with a UAS and AEF as lodging with them. I know I was there for a week about 1972 but can't remember anything about the place now...

Essexlad, one thing you didn't mention was how you were to do it. I only ask as it has been done before, at least twice.

Once IIRC was by a light aircraft and another I think on bicyles.

Now if you did it by boat via canal, river, and the sea, that would be something.

I also see that RAF Marchwood is not shown
