Typhoon over Air Cmd

Thanks to the Typhoon who gave us a mini display just now over Air Cmd (2140hrs)! It was great to see (well, the afterburners anyway!) an aircraft over the ivory towers! Made the house shake and impressed the heck out of some civie house guests too!!!

indeed! Even pulling all that 'g' failed to make the bombs come off.

Where's Slim Pickens when you need him?

Typhoon orbitting (loudly) over Chesham (Bucks) a few minutes ago. We ran to the shelters, thinking WW3 had started! Lovely sound (the modern equivalent of Merlins).

Next time could you do your display 3 miles east of strike? (village called Hazlemere) as i'd like to get a couple of action shots. Thanks

As this is becoming so popular with so many requests, I've decided to take bookings for you. Send me details of your lat and long, requested TOT and altitude with a cheque for £500 and I guarantee you that your request will be fulfilled.

I've just seen a 737 flying below radar height - very suspicious - could you send a Typhoon down to a few miles south of Dorking.

Just wondering whether this has anything to do with Ex OLYMPIC GUARDIAN that's going on at the moment? I think they were supposed to be pushing on through the weekend rather than enjoying the local facilities.

There was a similar mini-display over Air Command in the daytime yesterday c 16:30. I only caught sight of the departing Typhoon, possibly because the cloud was quite low.

Really appreciated the show last night (there was also a Spit from the BBMF this afternoon - you are spoiling us ...)

Sunday 1645-ish. Good to see a (the Northolt?) pair of Typhoons as far east as Sudbury, Suffolk, this afternoon.

On a run east from Stansted (which, given its critical position, is presumably heavily involved in all the practice scenarios)?

No, I think they are just burning holes in the sky on a Sunday to give people something to complain to the Daily Mail about.
