Missing Paintings From RAF Sealand

See below four historic paintings of famous events at RAF Sealand painted by Jim Chaplin a former Art Teacher at Park High School, Birkenhead. He had been a Corsair pilot and was also a gliding instructor at Sealand.
The paintings hung for many years in the Officers Mess and when South Camp closed were in the Station Commanders Office.
The station closed in 2006 and although MOD reveal under an FOI request to have a record of certain artifacts being disbursed to other units there is as yet no trace of these paintings.
The most persistent rumour is that they went to RAF Leeming with the Electronics Unit but they are not present in the Officers Mess.
If you have any knowledge of these paintings please contact me.

I don't own this space under my name. I should have leased it while I still could

Colin, from someone who was on TCW at Leeming a couple of years ago:

"I recall seeing the bottom painting at some point in time but not the others. Where the picture actually is at Leeming I can't recall; just remember seeing it. "

It seems three of them are on display at Leeming and the Havoc one is probably in store there.

Many Thanks to Sycamore and Pontius Navigator

My Grandpa

Hello my name is Charlotte, I came across this old post and realised it was about my Grandpa James F Chaplin aka Jim. I know this is an old post from 2012 but does anyone have any more information about the paintings? My mother (his daughter) Thea Chaplin would be thrilled if they were found so she could maybe visit and see them.

Thank you
Charlotte Chaplin-Hughes
