Rumours of 90 WSOps to go in Tranche 2
Heard rumours today of 90 WSOps getting redundancy in Tranche 2 next year.
Anyone got any gen on how this may break down amongst the AEOps/Crewmen/Loadies? Are there guys and girls in the training system at risk?

I hadn't considered the rotary angle. I figured it would be fixed wing taking the pain. Surely most of the Merlin crewman would be given an option to join the dark blue?

Where are the 200 siggies? - That seems a high number. In 18Gp in the mid 80s we had 4 squadrons of around 60 AEOp on each plus OCU, GSU and so on - maybe 300 or 350 flying in total plus 51 Sqn, SAR and misc. so maybe 400 or 450 all told.
I am surprised to hear there are still 200 airborne jobs.
Would be happy to stand corrected!

By AEOp I meant WSOp Sensor, of both wet and dry persuasions.
I'm sure there are a few dotting around the bazaars, but surely the RAF are not recruiting and training any more? Ain't no job for em.
Edited to note that, yep I know technically they are all WSOPs (generic) outwith the Ex Kipper Fleet...but you know what I mean. RAF sans wetties is the future.
