condolence thread for Flight Lieutenant Jon Egging (Red Arrows)

The MOD have confirmed the death of Flight Lieutenant Jon Egging of the Royal Air Force Aerobatics Team, The Red Arrows. Bournemouth Borough Council and Bournemouth Air Festival will issue a statement shortly.

Really sad day indeed. My condolences to the pilot's family and the rest of the team.

I'm a big fan of the Red Arrows and feel they are fantastic ambassadors for the UK and UK aviation. I hope they are given the privacy to come to terms with this tragedy.

Red Arrows Bournemouth

Was hoping for good news. Gutted. Only watched them a few weeks ago. My thoughts go to The Team and family for this terrible loss.

I think that it would now be appropriate, repectful and human for this thread to be purely for condolences; speaking as someone who has lost friends to this sort of thing before, I know that would be appreciated.
