Hercules over Widnes

Would just like to thank the crew of the Hercules which circled the general area of Widnes/St Helens last evening at about 1900hrs.

It was very nice to see and caused a fair bit of excitement and speculation within the house.

A few complaints though. It was far too high and far too rare a sight!

Come back soon,

Ghostie

First a Hercules, now three days later a Tornado flies over!
The last time I saw a FJ around here was about 1982 when a Phantom flew over, but to be fair, I think he was lost.

Thanks GR4 crew!

now three days later
You do mean two days don't you. If it was three days then the Tornado will pass over your house tomorrow on the 16th.

RA
"Last evening" posted on the 13th means the momentous event happened on the 12th.
13th - 1 day
14th - 2 days
15th (today) equals 3 days.
Or am I missing something here?

At least you got another bite RA - your job is done here!

Hawks yesterday, and now another GR4 today.

Has anyone got any idea why there is suddenly so much traffic over Merseyside? Seriously, I never saw this much activity in the eighties, and the FJ fleet was huge compared to now.

Hawks may have been heading up to the Lake District
Lot of activity - at times - around there this week Several Hawks haviing fun around Kirkby Lonsdale on Wednesday (I got buzzed 11 times in ten minutes at Casterton while trying to ID a strange-looking bird - the sound didn't help), with more around today

I am glad you don't live under the approach path to Heathrow as we would never hear the end of it.
