I'm 33, can I join the army air corps

I'm 33, can I join the army air corps with a view to piloting the sea king? I currently hold a ppl(A) and nearly finished the associated ATPL exams with a view to flying commercially.

Thank you

Can you tell me where to look for information as I currently am on a steep learning curve and making the change to helis will be a whole new ball park. I would like to fly until retirement age, so being 33 I'd imagine wouldn't be too much of a false economy to the MOD. I could be wrong though as like I said, steep learning curve..

That and information doesn't appear to be coming thick and fast in here -seriously you guys just hang around on this forum on a Friday afternoon to stir?

If you see an interesting thread click on it to answer the point in question! -'tis how we learn.

Teany Weany Airways do not have Sea Kings, so you might find a flaw in your cunning plan.

Tradition dictates that you can only carry out an April Fool until midday. After that you're just being a tw @t.

Fingermouse:

1. 33 is above the upper age limit for AAC helicopter pilots.
2. The AAC does not operate the Sea King.
3. Good luck with your ATPL exams!

Ahh thank you. It appears as though I had gained some false impressions from google, but if I am too mature for helis then I'm more than happy flying fixed wing. Thanks for your aviation opinions folks.

*Yes I am currently a novice regarding regulations for helis and the mod.*

Oh, and I do know what date it is today but life goes on none the less, hence the question.
