A Great Guy

Bob is well remembered as a highly professional loadie who I first got to know whilst on a 30Sqn Det at MPA way back in 1992.

As a Yorkshireman we had great banter about our love of Rugby League - he could never accept that he came from the wrong side of the Pennines. Since then whenever we met we had good chat/banter about
Rugby/Cricket/Golf and life in general.

Even when I left the Hercs and onto VC10 - We had good chats in Al Udeid when our paths crossed.

I will have a beer and think of the good times.

If a funeral can be brilliant then this was it. The pall bearers, the eulogies, the flypast were second to none. The wake was a fitting tribute to Bob and talking to Jack and Georgia, their dad lives on with them. The piano burning was what brought tears to my eyes, Bob would have loved that. So long Bob and see you in the next life my friend.
