I can confirm I have seen in black and white a top of the shop brief which states the Center will "buy out" any legislative change to redundancy payments up until 2015. Basically, terms won't change to the recipient in this round up until 2015. After that, all bets are off!

Just to point out to people affected by the redundancy that if you become Resident overseas after leaving the Service then you are no longer liable to be recalled to active duty.

It's really quite nice here in the Midi.
True - on both counts.

I believe that emplyoment by a foreign-based company also excludes you from call-out?

During the last 'Options for Change' redundancy panic, some quite 'average' people were released with buckets of HM's dosh and we were glad to see the back of them. Whereas other long-serving high-quality people looking for a career change were refused....

The day the redundancy option ended, a mate went straight to Handbrake House at 0800 to submit his PVR. The staff told him he wasn't the first that day....

Now flying 744s for ba, I gather - and counting the money whilst enjoying night stops in 5 star hotels.
