What you can assess from such a picture tends to depend on your education, training, experience, knowledge of various aircraft design features ....sorry I am getting carried away and stating the obvious.

You can measure angles, and as there are a bunch of people (for one example of a yardstick) you can measure size/length.... a long way from 'everything' but assuming your photo is genuine you can learn quite a lot of obvious stuff, before looking for the less obvious.

Look closer at the picture...

and I see more of this...

...the PLAAF's Star than that of the Russian Air Force Star...

Or, if it is Russian then they may be visiting for Foreign Military Sales - I don't know what's worse!!!

Well when I've seen Chinese air army 'planes at places such as Shantou I've only seen the red star with the red band through it. Anyways I guess like any country they can R&D new 'planes. Doesn't mean they are any good does it?

I was under the impression that the internal structure of stealth aircraft had to be stealthy too*, which the airframe in the large pic seems not to be.

Of course, it matters not whether this new type is excellent or rubbish to be honest. It will still easily defeat types like the F22 or Typhoon on a basis of superior numbers alone (in a 'full on' fight)!

*This is only what I have heard, and claim to have no knowledge on this subject at all.

Can the F-35 already be considered 'toast'?
