Reds

I thinkthat you will find that the RAF has offered up the reds for savings a few times but it has been stopped as politically unacceptable.

The Red Arrows have done more for the reputation of this Nation than any other part of any of the three services. They invariably demonstrate excellence and justifiably earn their keep if only by reminding people what this nation can and does achieve.

I would rather see the termination of our independent nuclear deterrent than the demise of the Reds.

Now, what have the Army got that is old and worth a few quid?
Well, I can think of at least one officer from the King's Royal Hussars who fits those criteria....

I know this thread has covered the wider AD role for the UK and the nato commitment for air policing area 9, with the subsequent effect to the backseaters. What about the impact to the massed groundcrews that are going to be affected. If the Govt. is so keen to promote our excellent record of looking after the troops. Some will be retained to support the northern 'Q' and I expect there will be a primary team as well but there are a lot more that have no idea about their future postings and that is considerably greater no. of families affected than Aircrew. I realise that we here cannot answer this post, I do know that some of our more senior members do read PPrune and even some Govt. lackey is trawling the site as I type. So don,t forget the troops and don't leave them in the dark about their future.
