HUD's (Head Up Displays). For the uninitiated, it's a transparent screen between you and the front window that can display various nav, systems and targeting info, allowing you to see whats outside instead of going heads down and looking at the instruments - very usefull when steaming through the Welsh weeds at warp factor lots! It can reflect a particular colour depending on it's coating and the angle viewed.

Teej,

Without doubt the best series of pics i've ever seen... with the notable exception of the 1984 Christmas edition of Razzle.

Good job fella

Thumbs down

And look at all those sticky-outy non-stealthy thingumy wing leading edge things - reminds me of a Tiger Moth (or was it a Stampe)! - Bless BAE et al, one day they might make a machine that sells on its own merit rather than relying on oily bribes!!!

Personally, if Enemy Pilot observes the sticky outy things and dumpy appearance, then I expect that's the last thing that will enter his mind... before he gets waxed.

For those images I used a Nikon D2X fitted with a Nikkor 300mm f/2.8.

I'm still after the F-15s at low-level. I believe that they are height restricted?

One from high over Cad West
