Address for medal claims?
Given my recent acts of outstanding heroism in the face of the foot-long Double Meatball SubWay I feel compelled to apply for a medal. I have the relevant copies of my logbook etc, all I need now is someone to send them to.
Am I correct in thinking it's someone at the JPAC? Would any of you equally brave chaps be able to furnish me with an address that I could perhaps send them to?
yours bravely etc.

I don't think we do ours via JPA yet. Ooop North you forward claims via internal mail to OC P1 (or is it OC PSF?) or someone similar in Handbrake House, who adds their autograph and posts them to the medals office for you. There is even a proforma in our squadron registry to fill in with your name, service no, dates sausage-side, etc, in addition to copies of your logbook.

There is an option on the JPAC answer machine for medals.
What happens if you selet it though (another menu, real person, just info) I don't know.
Good luck brave warrior !
(You should get a medal for braving the JPAC helpline IMO )

Likewise
Having just returned from somewhere sounding very familiar (I'm eligible for a rosette on mine if yours was only a bar of candy) I went into PSF (sorry, HR post JPA) and was told I had to see P1 (formerly P1) to apply for it. 2 minutes and 2 A4 sheets later, I had 2 medals applied for and was told it may take up to 6 months for them to arrive.
No problems! expecting them sometime this summer, maybe by Xmas 07!

There is a Joint Service Medals Section at Innsworth - do not have an extension number but try phoning 01452 712612 and ask the MOD Operator for the Joint Service Medals Section (cannot believe I am suggesting this but you can give it a try) and you will get through. Last time I dealt with them when I was serving, they were excellent. Good luck - they were scheduled to move at some stage but 6 months ago theyt were still there.

I don't own this space under my name. I should have leased it while I still could
I did a Google for the Veterans' Agency and got the following rather unfortunate summary:
Ministry of Defence agency responsible for veterans' affairs, including war and ... Disposal Services Agency - http://www.disposalservices.agency.mod.uk/ ...

This link will give much help, including claiming for a Veteran's badge if you served up to 1969, that date will however be extended later.
