PN - Here begineth the lesson. Select a pic from the internet (Google is your friend)....right click and select "properties". In the subsequent dialogue, look for "Address" and copy the URL.
Back to PPrunE. Go into the submit reply section. Select the picture icon and paste the previously selected URL into the dialogue box that has appeared. Press OK, and hey presto!

Drag selected image to desktop.
In "Reply to Thread" go to "Advanced", under "Additional Options" click "Manage Attachments". In the pop-up window "Choose File", "Upload" ... wait, and there you are. Post Reply as normal.

Alternatively, find a piccy on the internet...right click..."Copy image location"...then back to Pprune & do the image thingy that Wensleydale suggested.
I believe there is a cream that one can apply liberally that should ease most of that swelling.
