The hunt for "Nessie" takes a serious turn!

In hind sight....one would think a proper lookout would prove beneficial.

For info - they have them!! These are some of the ships that fight a weekly war in Peasholm Park, Scarborough, during the summer. I remember watching as a 5 year old and it is still going strong nearly 60 years later. The centrepiece is the Battle of the River Plate, together with a bit from the Jervis Bay incident with the Scharnhorst. There has been a bit of PC added (the Graph Spee/Scharnhorst is now referred to as the "Enemy Battleship" over the PA). However, the climax is still an attack on an enemy port with aircraft going over on wires and lots of bangs/explosions and waterspouts.
