Is real life an excuse?
Once this bread is toasted I’m tempted to give you the starter for the next one, assuming you have a good one to offer. Anyone disagree?

I always wondered what Warburton did to win two DSOs, three DFCs and the US DFC.

These re-enactors have gone beyond a joke. Not only do they re-create a batch of 1862 bread, but they then try to eat the stuff!

I'll judge this evening, so that Wensleydale can put up the new starter he earned previously!

It's not actually bread - it's raw toast!

OK, where are we? Decision time, with Wensleydale generously given the chance to post the next one.

I commend SASless @ 51373 with the "more nutritious", andytug @ 51380 with the sandbags allusion, and Big Pistons @ 51382 with his "Brexit Bread".

But, in homage to Danny42C and as a good follow-on from the previous Spitfire picture, this round's winner is ...

BTW, this was a display at the US Marine Corps Museum at Quantico ... well worth visiting if you're down that way (just off I-95 South, about 40 minutes' drive from the DC area).

Over to you, Wensleydale. The responsibility weighed heavy on my shoulders!
