Flt Lt Smith wasn't too sure about his new GE. But at least he took up less space on the aircraft and the weight saving meant an extra tray of in-flight catering for the rest of the crew.

"Gentlemen, welcome to the future in fighter cockpit design, due to the unavailibilty of our regular cat, who is unfortunately at the Vets today, one will demonstrate using our stand in Monkey, that there is indeed enough room to swing a cat in the cockpit of this fine machine"..
