"So you're absolutely sure, Sir, that this is the only way to get the mass and balance within limits?" "Yes it is. Now shut up and keep waving your legs about, just like the pilot said..."

Officer selection has come on a long way. They used to just make candidates discuss which one of them should jump from the stricken helicopter to save the others.

Winchman to Pilot:

"Those blokes on the winch won't stop doing the moves to YMCA. And why are they dressed in leather, anyway?"

I have not been drinking. I have matched the right image with the right caption . With 42 entries, this week's was tougher than usual, but - we have a winner....

An honourable mention must go to Runaway Gun's:
"Stop complaining. Maybe next time you'll remember to wipe the sheep **** from your boots before getting into my helicopter."

In a very respectable 3rd place we have DC1968's:
Pilot to Co-pilot - 'Sssh!..There it goes again...just where in the hell is all that screaming coming from?'

In a credible second place, we have the prolific Buster Hymen's (early and first of six) entry:
"Y...M...C....oh...*thump*...****!....ow....rope burn, rope burn!!!!"

BUT, the one that made me smile most was 622's witty:
The squaddies’ favourite game of inflight hide and seek was getting a little tedious with the aircrew.

98..99...100...coming ready or not.....end of the rope - again!

Well done Sir - the floor is yours!

Is that too many? You'd tell me if it was right?

Can't beat EyesFront's cracking entry

But anyway playing with his entry

The year was 2018, and the new Secretary of State for Defence, under pressure to make further savings, introduces the new uniform to represent the Army/Navy/Air Force and recently merged Salvation Army.

Hope you don't mind
