In an effort to prove Icarus had generally the right idea Hoskins used feathers to attain flight, however drew the line at using his own arms

The makers of the film, "Where Eagles Dare" denied that the presence of a helicopter in the film ruined the realism of the story for most audiences.

The brief was to make a helicopter that was a good runner. Ostriches are good runners!
