Very good Carruthers, but tell me, what do all those square holes do?

Oh they let more air in, in the hover.

I think we've got it upside down. The cockpits on the bottom, and the arrestor hook's on the top.

"The unique selling point is that the windows, instead of going from nose to tail like all competing models go round and round the middle."

Judgment Day

Oh dear, judging these is so much harder than expected - excellently clever entries! But after much agonizing....

Literalist Laurels to NutLoose for: "Well you did say it needed more lift."

The "I See What You Did There" prize to Hydromet for: "If you click on it you should get a larger one."

3rd Place to andytug for the multi-referential and meme-aware:
"Yes sir, the shape is modelled on one of the largest marine mammals."
"Oh, the huge manatee?"

2nd Place to Penny Washers:
"This, gentlemen, is the future of aviation in the 21st century. Not only does it require only a very small amount of gas, but it can be transported by drone to its area of operation thus saving transit time. To protect it from adverse weather, it can be placed inside any reasonably sized estate car."
[Though still not sure if this entry is surreal humor, or Amazon's new delivery system being leaked ahead of the announcement.]

And 1st Place to Dan Gerous for the perversely inverse:
"I think we've got it upside down. The cockpit's on the bottom, and the arrestor hook's on the top."

also to DG: Ha HAH, though you were off the hook, didn't you?

cheers,
c

Another, topical, late entry:

"No, it doesn't leak any gas. Not more than 200 l/hour, anyway."
