As happened to Robbie Burns, whose song's first draft read:

"My love is like a red, red nose,..."

Well, there's really only two places we can put the black box. I've marked the locations up accordingly. Let me know where you think it should go.

They told us we were going to be armed with missiles, however the budget could only stretch to painting the Red Top on.

Its not what the AOC meant when he told you to put the gloss on Air Transport Command!

They overran the procurement budget, it is to signify how much we went into the red.

Now if we saw off the bits up to the red lines, we can add a couple of radar scanners and convert it into a most reliable AEW aircraft!

"They're quite tolerant of center of gravity changes - as long as you load everything between the red lines, you can put whatever you like in."

"Well we used to tell the Nav as long as you kept on course and ensured you had a red light out of that window, and a green one out of this, you wouldn't get lost, however this one is particularly dumb, so we had to give him additional reference points and we didn't want to confuse him with additional colours"

They're for ballast to get the aircraft to fly level, the Nav goes where the front red markings are, and the loadmaster where the rear one is, to be honest we only carry them both to balance each other out"
