Military Aviation A forum for the professionals who fly military hardware. Also for the backroom boys and girls who support the flying and maintain the equipment, and without whom nothing would ever leave the ground. All armies, navies and air forces of the world equally welcome here.

Time to judge, methinks - it has so many captions (some really good) others are posting similar ones!

4th place, Danny 42C:

"Look on the bright side - the Regimental mascot could have been an elephant !"

Bronze, Squeaker with:

Private Bloggs was beginning to regret asking for a donkey jacket to keep him warm, although he had to concede it was working.

Silver, C52's:

Now go back and get someone in the hind legs."

But in Olympic Gold position:
Javelin Boy's

It was only at the end of the patrol Smith discovered he had left his Bergen at the start point

Which rather reminded me of a "Larson" cartoon caption!

Well done , Jav, please take up the torch!

Thank you. I though my one about the nativity play was better, but never mind.

Will oblige with a new pic in the morning.

Carrying flying helmets by the chin strap was subsequently banned on hygeine grounds.

The "Dam Busters" remake attracted a lot of complaints about "political correctness gone mad!"
