"I'm telling you, Sandy, it's a Teal."
"Nonsense, Julian."
"It is, it's a Teal."
"Rubbish."
"Well, what do you say it is?"
"It's quite definitely Turquoise."

You've all done Very Well, but I was surprised to note that Hoskin's Round Out did not put in an appearance; the opportunities latent in "Fix", "Pin-point" and "Spot Height" were overlooked, and the old L&H: "This is another fine mess you've gotten me into !" went by the board. But what an open goal was missed with "♫...."There's a Hole in my Bucket, dear Liza, dear Liza...♫"

To business,

Honorable Mentions:

WeeJeem

"I'm telling you, Sandy, it's a Teal."
"Nonsense, Julian."
"It is, it's a Teal."
"Rubbish."
"Well, what do you. say it is?"
"It's quite definitely Turquoise"

and

Buster Hyman

Great! Now we're stuck! Did I, or did I not, tell you that water bombing is pointless in the Arctic?

-----------------------

Runner-up is:

CoffmanStarter

"I tell you, it's true ... If you fly low enough over the penguins, they fall over backwards as they watch you fly over their heads ... here let me show you"

----------------------

But the laurels must go to:

HeloSammy (who tickled my funnybone with):

"I told you it was too cold to flush the toilet!"

Take it away, Sammy !

Danny.

Nice one Sammy.

Danny, I think with over 33k responses, I'm happy with the way things are. I've often had a very different opinion to the judge but I think that's all just a part of the charm. Also, I think it would slow down the whole process.

Quot Homines, Tot Sententiae !

No, no, Buster, my idea would apply only to the latest Picture. For example, the troops would only have to choose from 51 submissions for this last one, and then (say) Post "387" for your latest gem.

But then (I've just realised !), This Thread gets 138 "hits" per Post ! I might get a thousand "votes" to have to wade through to establish the winner !

BAD IDEA - Let's forget it !
Thank you, Buster - (will take down the original suggestion).

Danny.

Thank you all for the kind words.

Please append your pleasuring prose appropriately:

Tip #1: "Look Ma, no hands!" is too obvious

Enjoy

Sammy

Apparently, the Chinese were not the first to have a "manned drone"...

The Chinese were not first with the "armed" drone, either.

Don't ask me - but I can see it will have limitations as a troop transporter!

SACW Bloggs couldn't understand why all those pilot chappys were so irate. Don't they know she needed to get the nail varnish dried for her date.
