Military Aviation A forum for the professionals who fly military hardware. Also for the backroom boys and girls who support the flying and maintain the equipment, and without whom nothing would ever leave the ground. All armies, navies and air forces of the world equally welcome here.

The CD cover for the garage remix of the 1970s comedy classics "The Funky Moped and The Funky Gibbon" featuring Chas 'n' Dave probably wasn't going to sell many copies in its own right.

Despite the public statement that the Red Arrows were not being axed, the team could not help but notice subtle saving measures had been introduced.

The power of the Commonwealth Sevicemens' Union is already being felt in the RAF Regt, with each officer being allocated a driver and a staff-bearer. A spokesman for the union refutes the accusation of over-manning.

And the winner is.......

All good fun and the usual predictable inter-branch bunfight.
However, I thought these particular currants were notable:

In 3rd place in the trifle:

6Z3 The first Hawk129 rolls out on time on budget and fully compliant.

Running just ahead came , for 2nd servings :

airborne_artist The contractor's first attempt of an outsourced Royal Signals' White Helmets display team failed to meet the Service Level Agreement

However , for my money the full No 1. fruitcake goes to this singular piece of inspiration:

diginagain

Stick? - check.
Monkey? - check.
Trainer? - sorry, flip-flops only.

Congratulations "diginagain" for your inspired efforts.
