The early Turn and Slip indicator was very temperamental and Biggles needed help keeping the ball in the middle.

Oddly enough, the Wimbledon Gazette Spot the Ball Competition from 13 June 1923 is still open, with the jackpot now worth £263,497, 4 shillings and threepence. Have a go!
(Entries must be within 1/16" of the correct position to win)
