The RAF would soon learn that the Fulton Recovery System requires a) better situational awareness and b) something more substantial than a couple of radio antennas.

Hello Danny Boy, this is Broadsword. Have to report that after extensive air and ground search, still no sign of 8 Battalion Command Post.

The trial of Scottish Aviation's new radio-homing pilotless bomb was about to prove spectacularly successful.

"You're a touchmile from onedown.....Look around for the runway and crash visually.....Talkdown out !"

(At some time we said "Final Controller" but that always sounded too doom-ladeh to me !)

I owe the forum an apology for this abysmal performance.

First my external hard disk with all my photos from UNMIS gave me an error 10 message and refused to cooperate even after several hours of frantic workarounds . Then a short notice family visit put me AFK for the rest of the weekend.

Don't apologise mate - although it seems deadly serious here sometimes, we're all just stuffing around in cyberspace when we should be working when it comes down to it, aren't we?
