Military Aviation A forum for the professionals who fly military hardware. Also for the backroom boys and girls who support the flying and maintain the equipment, and without whom nothing would ever leave the ground. All armies, navies and air forces of the world equally welcome here.

Scoggins could have invented the mobile phone in 1962, but wisely realised that
(a) there would be no more disappearing into the bondu for a week playing with landies and radios
(b) women would start using them !!!!!

"He says there's a bit of a headwind and will be overhead in about 20 minutes"

or:

"He says he's got the lawnmower we asked for. About time too!"

or even:

'Having banned the Land Rover, the EU sent spotter planes out to find the last few that their fanatical owners were hiding from them'.
