It definitely said in the Release to Service that the KC-10 pilot had to be KC Registered!

Such was the automation in the latest RAF aircraft, a dog was employed as P1, the RAF pilot in the P2 position was simply there to feed the dog, and the dogs sole role was to stop the pilot touching anything.
