Marines......Semper Fi!

Ran across this.....true or not....it does sound like something a Marine might just do....knowing their Mind Set.

AN ACTUAL CRAIG'S LIST PERSONALS AD

To the Guy Who Tried to Mug Me in Downtown Savannah night before last.
Date: 2011-11-27, 1:43 am. E.S.T.
I was the guy wearing the black Burberry jacket that you demanded that I hand over, shortly after you pulled the knife on me and my girlfriend, threatening our lives. You also asked for my girlfriend's purse and earrings. I can only hope that you somehow come across this rather important message.

First, I'd like to apologize for your embarrassment; I didn't expect you to actually crap in your pants when I drew my pistol after you took my jacket.. The evening was not that cold, and I was wearing the jacket for a reason.. my girlfriend was happy that I just returned safely from my 2nd tour as a Combat Marine in Afghanistan…She had just bought me that Kimber Custom Model 1911 .45 ACP pistol for my birthday, and we had picked up a shoulder holster for it that very evening. Obviously you agree that it is a very intimidating weapon when pointed at your head ... isn't
it?!

I know it probably wasn't fun walking back to wherever you'd come from with crap in your pants. I'm sure it was even worse walking bare-footed since I made you leave your shoes, cell phone, and wallet with me. [That prevented you from calling or running to your buddies to come help mug us again].

After I called your mother or "Momma" as you had her listed in your cell, I explained the entire episode of what you'd done.

Then I went and filled up my gas tank as well as those of four other people in the gas station, -- on your credit card. The guy with the big motor home took 153 gallons and was extremely grateful!

I gave your shoes to a homeless guy outside Vinnie Van Go Go's, along with all the cash in your wallet. [That made his day!]

I then threw your wallet into the big pink "pimp mobile" that was parked at the curb ..... after I broke the windshield and side window and keyed the entire driver's side of the car.

Earlier, I managed to get in two threatening phone calls to the DA's office and one to the FBI, while mentioning President Obama as my possible target.

The FBI guy seemed really intense and we had a nice long chat (I guess while he traced your number etc.). In a way, perhaps I should apologize for not killing you ... but I feel this type of retribution is a far more appropriate punishment for your threatened crime. I wish you well as you try to sort through some of these rather immediate pressing issues, and can only hope that you have the opportunity to reflect upon, and perhaps reconsider, the career path you've chosen to pursue in life.. Remember, next time you might not be so lucky. Have a good day!

Thoughtfully yours, Semper fi,
Alex

It would be such sweet justice. As I can't carry a gun here, I never go out without my plastic 6" ruler in my pocket so that I can aggressively and repeatedly flick any assailant, hoping for a similar result. I think I'm on a winner.

Yes....it is a good feeling. One encountered a couple of Navajo Indians that sought to relieve me of my money. The look on their faces when they realized they had brought a knife to a gun fight and a game of Cowboy and Indians was about to kick off...was priceless.

Running Dog and Fleeing Skunk went to the Hills at a high gallop!

The train was quite crowded, and the war-weary Marine asked, 'Ma'am, may I have that seat?'

The French woman just sniffed and said to no one in particular 'Americans are so rude. My little Fifi is using that seat.'

The Marine walked the entire train again, but the only seat left was under that dog.

'Please, ma'am. May I sit down? I'm very tired.'
She snorted, 'Not only are you Americans rude, you are also arrogant!'

This time the Marine didn't say a word; he just picked up the little dog, tossed it out of the train window, and sat down.

The woman shrieked, 'Someone must defend my honour! This American should be put in his place!'

An English gentleman sitting nearby spoke up. 'Sir, you Americans seem to have a penchant for doing the wrong thing. You hold the fork in the wrong hand. You drive your cars on the wrong side of the road. And now, sir, you seem to have thrown the wrong bitch out of the window'.

So in a nutshell, the Marine mugged someone then made a hoax phone call.

How do you work that one out ?

The guy pulled a knife on him and took his jacket.

He removed the items for him that would have allowed him
to contact mates, continue fighting and he got the name and
address of the guy.

Don't know someone pulled an knife on our PSI ASM while he was carrying.

He certainly didn't pull his weapon out. Bust the guys ear drum with a bitch slap then broke both his index fingers.

Something about you don't threaten with a Gat you either shoot the or you don't reveal you have got it. The breaking the index fingers was so the wedgie ned had to get someone to wipe his arse for the next 4 weeks.

I suppose they teach Ghurkha combat engineer and combat diver things a bit differently to infantry types. or maybe it was just because he was a hard as nails Yorkshire man without a pit to go down and ginger to boot.

Americans seem to have a penchant for these type of fictitious stories. I suppose it boosts their ego and makes them feel good.

Three kiddies aged 17/18 made the mistake of assaulting me and a pal in a back street in Hammersmith one evening. Two had a length of 2 x 2, the third a length of iron conduit.

Within a minute I had one on the floor and demonstrated the correct use of the baton on the back of his skull.

My mate did the same with another.

All three pleaded guilty to affray.

Should have known better than to mess with an Artist and his Met Police TSG mate

Someone pulls a knife on a Brit, they either run or get stabbed.

Someone pulls a knife on a Yank, they never know whether they
will end up facing a gun and being turned from perp to a victim.

Not really I just think most brit squaddies wouldn`t go for a gun when there was a chance of kicking the ****e out off someone if they were that way inclined instead of legging it.

They will go max aggression and gbh the bloke and enjoy it. Pointing a gun at someone wouldn`t interest them. Nutting them until there face required 10 hours and 3 surgeons to get them eating again would. The knife being pulled on them would be just the ticket to claim self defense.

Cool

Savannah, such a nice place. So many things British. Street names. Buildings - Churchills pub/restaurant. JCB headquarters/distribution, Ships with Red Ensign sailing by. Harriers flying overhead, hovering too!......)

Aye, squaddies don't need guns. They're proper men. Not fairies with itchy trigger fingers.
