Iran's supreme leader orders fresh terror attacks on West
Iran's Supreme Leader has ordered the country's Revolutionary Guards to intensify its campaign of terror attacks against the West and its allies in retaliation for supporting the overthrow of President Bashar al-Assad in Syria.
...........Intelligence officials say the report concludes that Iran "cannot be passive" to the new threats posed to its national security, and warns that Western support for Syrian opposition groups was placing Iran's "resistance alliance" in jeopardy, and could seriously disrupt Iran's access to Hizbollah in Lebanon.
It advised that the Iranian regime should demonstrate to the West that there were "red lines" over what it would accept in Syria, and that a warning should be sent to "America, the Zionists, Britain, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and others that they cannot act with impunity in Syria and elsewhere in the region."
Mr Khamenei responded by issuing a directive to Qassem Suleimani, the Quds Force commander, to intensify attacks against the West and its allies around the world...........

A thought: can this be construed as a declaration of war?
Should it be?
Should it be?
Can it? - Yes
Should it? = Do we want an excuse to go to war with Iran?
Mostly - No ,
but watch this space with the Israelis - If they are planning attacks on Iranian nuclear sites, then this statement plus one verified (further) attack on Israeli soil by Iran or Iranian-backed terrorists (e.g. Hizbollah) will be sufficient grounds (in Israeli eyes) for their raids.
We should be cautious, as these statements may well be for internal consumption. I doubt it is sufficient to convince the Russians/Chinese that an attack on Iran is warranted.

if you read the report handed to the Supreme Leader it says that (to paraphrase)
a) Iran's friends are getting a kicking and their enemies are winning
b) we're hurting due to economic sanctions
c) we have to do something
d) lets lay down some lines in the sand to show we can't be run over without cost
not much different from announcements by Presidents Putin & Obama really
terror threats are just asymmetrical warfare really

This is how these dudes talk. It is for the consumption of their own people. They neither know nor care what impact their words have in the wider world because to them we are all infidels and therefore defacto enemies to the death.
An educated and cultured response to this kind of rhetoric can be found here:

<<They neither know nor care what impact their words have in the wider world because to them we are all infidels and therefore defacto enemies to the death.>>
They can't be all that bad otherwise you would not have invited so very many into your country would you? - You did have a referendum on immigration policy, did you? An in-depth long running debate, at least? I mean, it's not an easy policy to rectify if it was wrong so I am sure that in the mother of all democracies you would have had a say, wouldn't you? Or am I stereotyping you as free thinking, empowered, equal citizens?
B T W if you consider the crushing blows we have helped deliver to Muslim countries in recent times, perhaps we should be damn sure that we were justified - there were false accusations made against Libya, for example, and the official story of 911 doesn't bear close scrutiny.
Beyond that, the conduct of US forces in these recent campaigns (eg the gunship shooting of the journalists, courtesy of WikiLeaks and the main reason they're after him) would inflame anti-western feelings. Further, the support to saboteurs/agents provocateur provided by US/Israel supports Syria's early claims of foreign terrorist involvement and the cold blooded murder of Iranian scientists is nothing less than terrorism. In terms of collateral damage, drone strikes are like car bombs.
So when you denigrate these people, at the very least it is like the pan calling the kettle black - at worst, it is because you are afraid to look at yourselves, who really governs you, who informs you.

Suspicion breeds confidence
I hope we have a good ropemaker who can deal with them once they are defeated. Maybe we can have a lottery game to swing em. I'd bung in a few pounds just for a laugh.

you don't have to be a conspiracy theorist to wonder why, after getting to the door of the exit lounge in Iraq & Afghanistan, the US is now contemplating taking a trip to Iran.................... or even the S China Sea

Two guys with great big Bullseyes on their head!
Time for a Cruise Missile or two dozen to alight in their bedrooms one quiet still night. Track them down, locate them, and eliminate them.
Say nothing beyond "No Comment!".....no bragging....no telling details of the strike, nothing. Just big Bangs a Change in Command Ceremony.

Blimey Walter it doesn't take you much to grab hold of the wrong end of the stick and go off on one does it?
Having read a few of your posts, I thought that you would consider yourself to be educated and intelligent at the very least...and therefore a few words of advice, you surely must heed.
READ THE ****ING POST!
My post refers to religious fundamentalists, in this case a muslim, but it could be anybody who thinks their belief system gives them the right to kill/maim/slaughter/terrorise/torture other human beings who happen to disagree with their views. Fundamentalist christians catholics et all (and many none religious groups too) have all played their part in terrorism through the ages. They are all nutters to me.
I have no cross to bear with normal human beings irrrespective of their race, creed, beliefs or whatever and my post is fairly clear on this point if you listen to the accompanying video.
I await your correction and apology.
