Post RAF Leather Name Badges

Does anyone have a contact no/email for a company that makes leather name badges for the RAF leather jacket.

Cheers

Good luck!

Try Aviation Leathercraft, the makers of the jacket. http://www.flyingjackets.co.uk/
They'll do you a replacement if you've bought a jacket from them.
Good Ole Pop's Leather in Adana will do the name badges too www.popsleather.com . They're slightly different in that the wings are silver instead of pewter and the typeface is very slightly different. I've got one and they're about $25. They don't have the details on their site but you can mail them direct for info.

Cheers. Have they got you saying "have a nice day" yet?

Aviation Leathercraft will also do different colour leather backgrounds to match your Sqn's colours.

Indeed, Dan! The ones I ordered for the RAF's premier AAR/at Sqn came out fine - the only problem being it took several weeks of phone calls, polite complaining etc before they were ready! Regrettably the 'cottage industry' at Aviation Leathercraft extends to their marketing...

Thruxton is one of those places it's much easier to get to by air from the Secret Oxfordshire airbase than by road though!

15/15 flex - once I might have risen to the banter challenge. But ever since the wanton destruction of sqn identity forced upon us last year, it is difficult to find the motivation...........

Cool

BEags - that's a paltry excuse for a man no doubt with a two seat fast car :-) - down the A34, turn right at the '303. 'bout an hour to you matey! Thruxton sure would test your short field performance envelope.

The leather jacket patches - get one with shoulder to shoulder wings on the back for riding the bike :-) - Easy Rider yeah.

Does anyone know where I could get a pair of black RAF pilot wings on dark green material?

Thanks in advance.

Ah yes - the road journey (Stanford-in-the-Vale, back road across the Downs, through Dogmeat Ditch (aka 'Valley of the Racehorse'), Hungerford and the back road to Thruxton is a fine trip indeed in even my 2-plus-few seater VTEC Prelude. So long as Plod isn't out with a radar gun....(but it's a right bug ger trying to find the aerodrome entrance!)

But it's much quicker and easier to go via the Faringdon VRP, Membury mast and straight in under the Boscombe stub in a PA28!

Try the SH or Junglie mates for a 'tone down' name badge brevet supplier. I've certainly seen them in the past when 'tone down' was more important than wearing bŁoody ridiculous yellow road diggers' coats on the aerodrome....

Banggearo
Don't listen to Stop Start, he'll wear anything if it saves him a few bob (Turkish Goat Scrotum - the badge, not SS)!
Although Thruxton maybe a few miles and one Atlantic Ocean from your current posting, they'll post it.

PS. Strange as it may seem, had a cracking night in Utah the other day, no one had heard of you, excepy this white trailor-trash mom of four.....
