Foiled hijacking attempt
 

I heard last week that 3 would be hijackers were arrested before they were able to board a Saudi Airlines aircraft-- I believe in Jeddah. I haven't heard anything else, certainly nothing official, but it seems a few people are talking about it-- but not on this board, which surprises me! Anybody have any info?

Saudi authorities arrested 2 Moroccans in Jeddah airport last week, CNN reported that they were armed with knifes and intended to hijack a Saudia flight bound for Sudan with the intention of flying it into a building!
Saudi authorities played it down and stated that there was no proof of their intentions; they were arrested because they were wanted individuals.
Make of it what you will, but trying to hijack an airliner with knives in this day and age is a waste of time!
