Moderate Moderator
Dear 4HP
I do not peruse PPrune too often and when I do, like, I suspect many contributors, do it late at night after a little immoderate personal consumption of spirituous liquors, (this is also of course a convenient reason for spelling mistakes!!). Having viewed the contributions over the last few weeks, I do feel with the greatest respect, old chap, that you seem a little immoderate for a "Moderator". You have sniped at Kenoco, Palma de Mallorca and had a real go at A340-500, threatening to cut him off, all at really over nothing. Compared to such little gems as Fragrant Harbour, itself a mere shadow of former times, the ME Forum is something one would be reluctant to direct to the local vicar to in case he found it too boring and uncontroversial. Moderators are this site's policemen and it is a responsibilty that generally is carried out with great restraint and tolerance. Could you cool it a little bit?? Ta |
. . Hey Pa ! . . I agree, and he hates the Pink Baron you know . . hic !
|
Sorry to have caused offence old-timer. Are you the type that gets really upset when you see parents discipline their children?
I tolerate to a point and then I make it clear that I feel someone is either flaming unnecessarily or whining beyond the norm. Take keneco for example; any topic with any regard to QR and she lights off about what a bunch of nasty folk they are and how she's convinced they're heading for impending doom. She's entitled to her opinions but there is no need to wind up the old gramophone every time she reads the Q word. I find it difficult to remember any post of hers that has any other direction. I'm not going to justify my every action as a mod; if you feel that I'm doing a tatty job please write to the super-mods & pour your heart out to them. But thanks, maybe I am OTT and in a generous display of humanity I give you my solemn undertaking that I shall give careful thought before lashing out at some hapless soul who is more than entitled to whine, bleat, flame and strafe regulars in this forum from behind their sandbag of anonymity. For you and many other moderates, I'll change. PC4HP (Not PC Plod anymore, but Politically Correct) http://www.stopstart.fsnet.co.uk/smilie/ignore.gif |
pontius's pa I cant remember ANY previous posts from you in the ME Forum, so what brought this on???
Personally I think that 4HP is doing an excellent job, he definitely has more patience than I do, especially in relation to "Q Airways" :) Mutt. |
guys
hi guys I am a nice girl really but senior management in QR really need to get things together, peace xx C.
|
people wind up their grammophone all over the Pprune...look at the eighty-whiners on d&g, and the AoA tossers on frag harbour...
|
A small minority also thinks that manners can be left at the door when entering PPRuNe.
It ain't so. ;) Moderating is impossible to get right all of the time, personally I am happy if I avoid f*cking-up most of the time. At the same time, "net-history" shows that sites where the moderators are afraid or unwilling to make unpopular decisions invariably end their days in flame wars and languishing interest. This is not somethng PPRuNe wishes to see happen to this place. So we fumble along with the best of intentions in our attempt to keep this place the best bl**dy aviation site on the internet. :D More tea vicar? |

Looks like the votes are in..... we get to keep you :):):) Mutt. |
nilnoted was that hic in biggle's:) :) :)
|
itwilldoatrip . . . . aye, usually is. My usual lack of self control and low standards usually drag me to the nearest watering hole from TBF after a hard days slog, and that usually in Big Les's ! It is sad that I have to drive past several alms houses before the Garhoud Bridge and usually end up putting the world to right with several other ne'er do wells and no hopers, hic ! enjoy !

I always thought that big 4HP did a marvellous job moderating this forum.........it is common knowledge that I am a big fan of QR, and he has been patient with some of my rantings of late.
However, there are certain visitors to the forum who do (no names mentioned) go a bit over the top and there are clearly certain levels of maturity displayed, depending on an individuals particular work experience in a given company. We must respect that above anything else. Without being disrespectful to anyone at all, remember that a CSD at QR may have had a different work experience to a Captain.......and age is a factor............... Its best to ALWAYS give the benefit of the doubt......don't you agree? Anyway, lest hope 4HP is around for a while. No hard feelings 300Man - I'd rather keep a low profile if you don't mind. 4HP |
A300man,
Can you please explain to me why you felt it necessary to give the moderators initials? I cant remember ANY messages which he has signed with his name, you are therefore using something that you learned in a private message!!!!! If this was me, i would be pretty pi55ed....... Care to edit your message. Mutt. PS, how was Male? I need you around next time I'm in a bar fight Mutt http://www.stopstart.fsnet.co.uk/smilie/thumbs.gif4HP |

This thread is going nowhere. I've learnt a lesson & will try and show some compassion. If I do cause anyone an injustice, mail me and I'll make every attempt to resolve the issue. If you don't get satisfaction then write to the big guys.
Now get on with life. Please. 4HP |
