EK application went from unsuccessful to under review
 

Hello everyone,
I just noticed in the careers portal of Emirates that my application went from UNSUCCESSFUL ( after receiving rejection email after 1st day assessment's in Dubai ) to UNDER REVIEW .

Has anyone had that situation before and can share with me the input.

That reeks of indecision and incompetence, by Emirates.
Begs the question, if this is how future prospective employees are treated, what is the culture in general?

one of the funniest analogy’s of EK I’ve ever seen on here 🤣… and exactly the reason I left!

Luckily I learned all about it in a previous life, without having to dive into it with my career to then learn!

Was there a waiting period in your rejection email? Maybe that time limit is up?

Hi everyone, my partner recently completed all stages of the Emirates FO selection, including medical and accommodation visit. However, he later received an email saying he’s unsuccessful and can reapply after 12 months. Has anyone experienced this recently?

Experienced the same last month. Suggestion is that Boeing recruitment has grinned to a halt, and they don't want/do hold files. Not sure

I believe that. If there was something wrong in the exam, I believe they would say it, right? Sad

Not at all - They are hiring hundreds every year. Failed selection at last stage could mean a few things. e.g blood test results found something, or background check failed. Etc.

No! He doesn't fly in the FlyD. It would even be an option but of all the options he liked EK more. I found it strange because several who tried at the same time received a proposal and email for references but after a week an unsuccessful

Incorrect on the Boeing side. Plenty of 777 applicants who have been "successful" that still haven't heard anything definitive for months. A number who have been assigned a fleet from earlier in the year, being told there's no start date in sight. Boeing commands down from a peak of 24 a month to 2 now. With minimal attrition and the latest 777X delay, things have come to a stand still.

any one had any experience on how long it takes to go from "application under review" to getting any word on the next steps? Airbus typed and applied a few months ago now and have heard nothing. Cheers

How many hours are you at and what country are you applying from?

just send an email to pilot dxb email and politely ask them if they can give you an update.
